Shopping my Stash: Australis Paparazzi Perfect HD Eyeshadow in Snap Attack

As you all know, I'm trying to save (yes, that probably is the millionth time I've said it). This means shopping my stash. I don't have a big collection of makeup, so it's not the most fun thing to do, I'd much rather be shopping Priceline. I have however, pulled this little beauty out of the depths of my makeup draw! The Australis Paparazzi Perfect HD eyeshadow palette in Snap Attack. This was one of my first purchases after discovering the wonderful world of makeup, and it came with a free Australis eyeshadow primer (I think my local Kmart still has these packs, so yours might too!). It got pushed to the depths of my collection after being lucky enough to win the MUA Undressed palette which is my most used neutrals palette.
This palette comes with 5 neutral shades, all with a shimmery pearl finish. It has everything you need to do a complete eye look, with a highlight colour, and a darker crease colour (which isn't too dark for me!), a slightly lighter dark brown, and 2 lovely shades that are both perfect for all over lid colours. I've been loving using this over my Essence Stay All Day shadows, particularly Glammy Goes To. They're quite pigmented and I don't find I have to pack on the product. The shadows, although lovely and soft, are a little bit powdery. I only ever find this a problem in the pan and I don't get any fallout when applying. I don't find the shape of the container to be annoying either, but it might become an issue when you start to hit pan with the product being stuck in the corners. These shadows last all day without creasing on my eyelids when worn with the Essence Stay All day shadows or the Australis Eyeshadow Primer. However, I don't have overly oily eyelids.swatches in daylight over Australis Eyeshadow Primer.

I really do think this is a lovely palette and I'm glad I've pulled it out again. Would I recommend it over other products? I don't think so. There are a few other affordable neutral palettes out there, including the Essence To Die For quad, and the MUA undressed palette, which have both gotten a bit more use from me. I would still recommend checking it out though if you're interested in neutral palettes, or if you can't get your hands on MUA or Essence.

    1. Hopefully it's around for a while, so if you ever need a new neutral you can pick it up :)

    1. Not opened yet?! How?! I rip into my products as soon as I get them home, sometimes I can't even wait and open them over a coffee at the shops, haha.

  4. Lucky you for not having oily lids!

I have this but I've barely used it! I think I need to remedy that. :)

    1. Instead of oily lids I have super dry skin around my eyes, so it does come at a price. The dry patches really show up if I put any shadow over them.
It's a nice palette to rediscover.

  5. I feel like I have a couple of these shades in the nudist palette! I need to get it out and use it again, it's so neglected in my drawer!

    1. Yeah, I noticed in reviews a couple were the same. It's a shame they used colours from palettes they already had in the nudist palette, but also not that bad if you don't have any of their other palettes. I was never able to find the nudist palette, I wonder if the quality of the double ups is the same?
