April Favourites!

This month I found it really hard to stick to 5 products, because I've been loving using so many products this month. So I cheated a little bit, and found 5 groups of products, hehe. I know a lot of these products are really new, but they're so great they've definitely earn their place in this list.
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: This brush is just perfect for applying my foundation! So much better than using my fingers!

Real Techniques Stippling Brush with The Body Shop Lily Cole Lip and Cheek Dome in Pinch Me Pink: Together, these give me a lovely pink glowy cheek. I'm so glad I got this brush so I could finally start using the lip and cheek tint, because I found it really hard to apply with my fingers, and it's such a lovely product. I'm contemplating writing a 'Shopping my Stash' review about it, but I'm not sure I will because it's no longer available.
Face of Australia Budgeproof Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black with Essence Gel Eyeliner Brush: I've kind of put the FOA gel liner to the side since I got it, because I'm not a big fan of the brush it comes with, but I decided to use the Essence Gel Eyeliner brush with it (because I couldn't be bothered to wash the brush it came with, woops!) and I love it! I don't know whether I like the eyeliner or the brush better, but they're a great combination so I'll group them together. I bought the brush originaly to do my brows with, but I got a brush with the MUA Pro-Brow kit so I don't need to use it for that anymore. I might need to get a new brush soon because the bristles are separating and making it hard to do winged liner. I also wore the gel liner to Groovin the Moo on the weekend and it lasted all day, even after I braved the Amity Affliction mosh pit!
Rimmel Apocalips in Galaxy and Luna: If you read my review on these, you'll know why they've made my favourites list! I haven't used them that much (i don't get much time to re-apply during work so I need something a little more long lasting), but when I have gotten around to using them I loved them. I really can't choose between them, they're both such lovely colours.

L'Occitane Fresh Face Water: My sister left this behind when she moved out, so I decided to start using it to remove my makeup. It does a great job, it's not drying and it removes mascara and thick black eyeliner without a problem. This container is actually out of date, so I would love to try a new bottle because I bet it would work even better. I actually went into L'occitane the other day to buy Mum a present, and I got given a few samples of a really lovely face cream, so I wouldn't mind trying a few more of their products (maybe when I get to Europe, they're so expensive here!)

Honourable Mentions:

Essence Stay all Day Eyeshadow in Glammy Goes To - I've been using this a lot as an eyeshadow base this month.
John Freida Frizz Ease Dream Curls Curl-Perfecting Spray - I love using this on wet hair, it really helps define my curls.
Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel - I've mentioned it before in a favourites post, but I really really love the smell of this. I bought the melting marshmellow moment bath melt so hopefully that is just as nice!

Non-Beauty Favourites!
Song: We The Kings - Just Keep Breathing I've been listening to this song almost on repeat since it came out a few weeks ago. It's amazing. I've been a fan of We The Kings for a while, but I reached crazy-fangirl stage after I saw them play with Simple Plan last year and started watching CTFxC (the bassist is also a daily vlogger) every day. Go give it a listen and buy it off itunes if you like it! They're also releasing a new song on the 3rd!

Drink: Soda water with lime. Lime is one of my favourite flavours and I've been loving just drinking soda water with the juice of one lime squeezed in. I started drinking it after I got sick and needed a bit of vitamin C and liquids, and didn't stop.

TV Show: Bones!Bones is one of my favourite TV shows, and this month I've managed to get my boyfriend hooked on it too! We've been watching it together a lot which I think is nice. He's up to season 4 now, so we've got 3 weeks to finish 4 more seasons!

  1. I love we the kings! and of course simple plan are definitely an old favourite! I love the real technique brushes, so soft and they dry fairly fast after washing them. I am dying to try the Rimmel Apocalips. Great favourites this month Claire :)

    1. We the Kings are one of my favourite bands :)
I have noticed the RT brushes dry fast, and keep their shape so well! Definitely try and get your hands on the Apocalips asap! I can't wait to try more colours.

And thanks for the recommendation for the FOA gel liner, I'll keep that in mind once my Essence one runs out!

    1. The cheek dome is such a lovely idea, I hope they do more soon! The RT stripling brush really is perfect for cream blushes.
I'd love to try the Essence gel liner, such a shame it's getting discontinued because I could never find the black!

  5. I forgot everything you wrote after I got to "soda water and lime." YUM!
Loved the favourites though! I hate the little brushes that come with gel liner... they should save their money because I hate washing them! :P

    1. Lime is so good!
I always forget about the little brushes when I wash my brushes, so I never remember to wash the brush in the gel liner. I prefer applying it with an angled brush anyway, it makes it so much easier.

    1. It's lovely! I hope the Body Shop bring out more one day. I didn't expect much from the curl spray, but it does define my curls more. There's another curling product I'd rather buy when my sample of this runs out - the instant satur8 by De Lorenzo, which hydrates too.
